Automakers are continuing to focus their efforts on offering more hybrid options to their lineups. The market is definitely expanding as customers are turning to more fuel efficient vehicles that can help them save some money on fuel. This is why Toyota has decided to step up its game. While there are currently seven hybrid options within the new Toyota lineup, the automaker is looking to significantly increase this number over the next few years.
In a statement made by Toyota leading up to the New York International Auto Show, we got an idea of just how ambitious it was willing to get. By 2015 it hopes to have 20 hybrid vehicles available across each of its divisions including Lexus and Scion. While this may seem like a lofty goal to achieve in a matter of two years, here at Reno Toyota we have no doubt that it can be done.
With the popularity of models like the Toyota Camry Hybrid and Highlander Hybrid, it seems likely that other hybrid models will be greatly welcomed by drivers who want to make less trips to the gas station.
Perhaps the new 2014 Corolla that is soon to be released will come with a hybrid option, the possibilities are simply endless! Be sure to continue following our blog so that we can remain dedicated to keeping you updated as more details are released.
