Our Story

Our journey began with our founder, Tom Dolan. Born in Albert Lea, Minnesota and the youngest of eight children, Tom settled in Reno, Nevada in 1969 and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1972. His automotive career started at Reno Dodge working for Don Weir Sr. where he learned alongside his former college roommate and friend Don Weir Jr.

Tom quickly advanced in the business. From 1975-1982, he moved from Sales to Finance Manager to Sales Manager and then to General Manager at Carson City Dodge-Chrysler and Reno Dodge. In 1982, he became the General Manager and Vice President of Reno Toyota. Tom later purchased the dealership, which became Reno Toyota and eventually Dolan Toyota...and a legacy was born.

Our Family

Family has always been at the heart of our company. At Dolan Auto Group, we make it a priority to treat every customer and employee as a member of our family. This unique philosophy inspired our tagline, "Get in and join the family."

As Tom expanded his dealerships, he shared the importance of values and hard work with his three children: Ryan, Danielle and Brady. All three of them grew up working in the business. Eventually, both Ryan and Brady decided to join the family business full-time. Ryan now serves as the CEO of Dolan Auto Group and Brady as the COO.

Together, Tom, Ryan and Brady have built Dolan Auto Group into the largest automotive group in the region. Our seven award-winning dealerships include Dolan Toyota, Dolan Lexus, Dolan Mazda, Dolan Kia, Lee Brothers Leasing, Dolan Dodge RAM Fiat and Dolan Fernley Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM.
