When it comes to emphasizing safe driving, Toyota wants to really get through to its younger audience. This is why in 2010 the automaker collaborated with Discovered Education to create a program called Toyota Teen Driver. Now Toyota is calling upon teenagers themselves to assist with its safety mission.

The 2014 Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge asks aspiring young filmmakers to put together a video that will inspire fellow teenagers to practice safe driving habits. This is the fourth year that the annual competition will be taking place, offering one talented filmmaker the chance to take home the $15,000 prize.

While explaining the importance of the contest as part of Toyota's safety program, Latondra Newton, chief corporate social responsibility officer for Toyota poses the important question: "What could be more inspiring and impactful than harnessing the passion, creativity and talent of teens across the country to join us in making our roads safer for everyone?"1

Discovery Education is also working with Toyota to offer a new high school sweepstakes component. This is accompanied by a website for the program which you can check out by visiting ToyotaTeenDriver.com. It includes even more opportunities for students and their schools to win prizes totaling over $100,000.
