The new Toyota Safety Sense-P suite of features is Toyota's most advanced safety package and the 4Runner is the first model to be outfitted with this system. Forward automatic emergency braking and automatic high-beams headlights only scratch the surface of this package. You'll discover pedestrian detection, forward collision warning and lane departure warning among the elements added to keep you and your family safe on the streets of Reno. No matter what Toyota 4Runner trim you choose, you'll get a 4.0L V6 with 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft torque. You'll also have standard skid plates and Hill Start Assist Control. What sets the trims apart on a performance level is that some 4Runner's are better suited for the trails. They'll come equipped with extra features like Shocks, Multi-Terrain Select, tuned front springs, etc. The most off-road worthy ones are the TRD Off-Road, Limited, and the TRD Pro.

Technology

We like that all 4Runner's have a touchscreen that is 6.1-inches. It might not be the largest offering in the Toyota SUV lineup, but we find that most 4Runner shoppers like the interior that looks more adventurous and less tech-focused.

That said, you can still find power-adjusting seats, navigation for when you travel outside of Reno NV, a smart key and push button start, and premium JBL speakers.

The Toyota 4Runner also has Apple CarPlay compatibility for IPhone users. It syncs with Iphone text message, directions, and SIRI to navigate hands-free.

Refinement & Towing

Despite the 4Runner's rugged demeanor, you can still get some refined features that are on the luxe side of things. All trims come with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and starting at the Limited trim there are perforated leather seats. For extra flair, select trims have a flashy chrome grille.

If going on adventures around Reno NV and beyond means bringing along toys, the 4Runner has you covered. When properly equipped, the new 4Runner can tow up to 5,000 pounds, which equals a small camper, trailer with a few ATVs or 4-Wheelers, or a small boat if you want to hit up a nearby lake with friends and family.
